Speaker Bio: Steve Radelet is Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Global Human Development. He previously served as Chief Economist for USAID, Senior Adviser for Development to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He currently serves as an economic adviser to the Presidents of Liberia and Malawi. His work focuses on economic growth, poverty reduction, foreign aid, and debt, primarily in Africa and Asia.
