Kate Aitken is an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School and MPP candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she is a Zuckerman Fellow at Harvard's Center for Public Leadership and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. She was previously an Assistant Vice President at Barclays investment bank in London, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions for financial institutions and advised public European corporations on equity strategy. While at Barclays, Kate founded and co-chaired the Junior Advisory Council, which seeks to develop and retain junior female talent within Barclays; served on the Women's Initiatives Network's Steering Committee; was twice elected to the firm's Global Advisory Committee; and represented Barclays at the One Young World global summit. Kate serves on the Social Investment Council of Echoing Green, an impact investing organization that supports emerging social entrepreneurs worldwide. Kate holds a B.A. in political science with distinction from Yale University.
