Silvia Bino, MD, Ph.D, is the Head of the Control of Infectious Diseases and Immunization Department of the Institute of Public Health and an Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Tirana University, Albania.Dr.Bino has been the Regional Coordinator of the network to strengthen surveillance and control of communicable diseases in South-eastern Europe.

In her talk doctor Silvia discuss about decision making in public health as a process acting under uncertainty, especially for countries with limited resources. Even so, if you start to build
a workforce armed with technical expertise and
responsibility the burden of uncertainty will lighten.
