Since 1949, the UN body known as the UNRWA has provided crucial assistance to Palestinian refugees across Gaza and the occupied territories, as well as in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

Now, Palestinian activists say that support is under threat because of a new deal between the UNRWA and the US. And they warn it could have dangerous consequences for the entire region.
