Yemeni children as young as 13, whose fathers were killed or disabled by the ongoing civil war in the country, are now forced to work as car drivers to support their families.
For some, it is the only way to make a living and support their parents and siblings.
One child, Mursi Muhammed Salih Zevid, told Anadolu Agency, “I learned to drive to support my family, and I share my income with them. Even though the roads are busy, I don’t face any problems…I’m just trying to earn a living.”
