方言という音楽から　世界言語のハーモニーへ | Noriko Uemura | TEDxKagoshima

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. How well do you know the dialect of the area which you grew up in? Is your local dialect fading away with each passing generation? Starting with local dialects, then progressing onto whole languages, Uemura Noriko describes a way to preserve your local linguistic heritage and promote international relations at the same time.

鹿児島女子大学（現・志學館大学）卒業。高校教員として５年間在職した後、創作活動や講演会活動に携わる。日本児童文学者協会会員、第１２回かぎん文化財団賞を受賞し、　『鹿児島ことばあそびうた』（石風社）シリーズはじめ著書は多数。
2013年には女性による鹿児島文化発信グループ「薩摩文化はっしん女（じょ）・サツマドンナ」を立ち上げ、イベントの司会を鹿児島弁で務めるなど伝統文化の継承に携わっている。

Noriko Uemura (植村 紀子)
Author of children's literature
She graduated from Shigakukan University. After working as a high school teacher for 5 years, she became engaged in literary activities as well as lecturing. As a member of the National Children's Literature Writer's Association, she won the 12th Kagoshima Bank Cultural Asset Prize. Beginning with "Kagoshima wordplay song" series (Ishikaze Company) her literary works are numerous. In 2013, she launched a group for ladies called "Satsuma Culture Spreading Ladies, Satsuma Donna" to spread the culture of Kagoshima. By working as an event host and using the Kagoshima dialect she is helping to preserve traditional culture.
