1 000 days - Laying the groundwork for our future: Andrew Rudge at TEDxCapeTownWomen

Andrew Rudge is the CEO of Mxit Reach, a PBO that inspires and improves lives through the development of innovative and cost-effective mobile solutions using Mxit, South Africa's biggest mobile social platform. He is a behavioural economist who is passionate about education and even moreso about the power of mobile phones to change lives. At Mxit Reach he has been involved in the development of mLearning programmes, as well as providing mobile counseling services through partnerships with organisations such as LoveLife, Childline and most recently Rape Crisis. He is also the father of 3 young children.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
