Living through a change of age: Andrew Lyon at TEDxUWS

Andrew is a converger with International Futures Forum (IFF). IFF work with governments, communities, businesses, foundations and others. They support people experiencing a combination of aspiration for something better and frustration that little they do seems to get them nearer their goal. Andrew has worked for the World Health Organisation in Bangladesh and Europe and moved to Forward Scotland in 1996 to develop a Scottish approach to sustainable development, becoming acting chief executive in 2000. He has also been engaged in voluntary activity for most of his adult life and currently serves on the boards of several charities.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
