A Grassroot Journalism Revolution : Dipta Bhog at TEDxXLRI

Dipta Bhog is at present the Managing Trustee of Nirantar. She has extensive experience of over two decades, of working on issues related to Rural Journalism, Women's Literacy, Adult and Girls Education in diverse areas like programme design, implementation, policy and impact.
She was instrumental in initiating "Khabar Lahariya" a Rural Newspaper in 2002 which has been involved in training a team of rural women journalists on issues related to various aspects of journalism and publishing their reports. She has also conducted trainings for rural women, field activists, teachers, students, researchers and government functionaries at the national and South Asia level.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
