Afghanistan - A new hand for Abdul | DW Documentary

Abdul lost both hands in a bomb attack. The organization "Friedensdorf International" brings him to Germany for an operation.

Abdul will spend several months in Germany- together with other children from war and crisis zones, for whom there are no treatment options in their own homeland. Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, the situation in the country has worsened: qualified doctors have left the country, as have many aid organizations. Can German doctors help Abdul? A report by Melina Grundmann.
