This is Blue Creek Betty Bob. He is a Woodchuck (otherwise known as a Groundhog, Whistle Pig....lots of names) He got the name we gave him because we thought he was a she. So "she" started out as Blue Creek Betty. Then as we were doing a piece for Channel 11 for Groundhogs Day and someone else was holding while I was talking...I notice some extra parts SHE shouldn't have! So she became he and the name was changed to Blue Creek Betty Bob. He is inside with us because he has some head trauma and doesn't know enough to properly hibernate. He came out of his sleep and got out into the snow and got a little frostbite on his hind toes. So...like many of our animals...he will be inside for a while!
