Breaking Barriers: Janet Peery at TEDxOCUWomen

In her talk, Janet L. Peery discusses the effect domestic violence has on the community as well as the resilience of victims who have overcome domestic violence. Janet is a Certified Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Professional (CDSVRP) and the CEO of the YWCA Oklahoma City. She helped establish the agency's dating violence prevention education program, the OK County Task Force on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, and Domestic Violence Education groups for females incarcerated in OK Department of Corrections facilities. Janet has been instrumental in establishing the YWCA as a leading provider of domestic violence and sexual assault services in Oklahoma.
