Chicks on Speed: Drone Hits Karaoke at NADA Lounge, Collaborations at Art Cologne 2015.
Drone Hits is a project started by internet privacy activists Allegra Searle-LeBel, Jacob Apelbaum, Jérémie Zimmermann (La Quadrature du Net) and Melissa Logan (Chicks on Speed). Embracing the medium of Karaoke and personal memory attached to popular music the project participants appropriate songs to expose the undercurrents of rampant surveillance conducted on each of us in the digital age and the devastating reality of Drone assassinations conducted in grey zones of international law.
