Hungry? Undergraduate Student Speaker Lauren Riensche will grow your supper. As the sixth generation to live and work on her family's farm in Jesup, Iowa (the Blue Diamond Farming Company), Lauren is deeply passionate about modern agriculture. She is keenly aware of the challenges feeding seven billion people presents and has come to UChicago to trade the pitchfork for the pen to promote a viable and sustainable agriculture for tomorrow. Lauren is a third year Sociology major and is currently working her way towards a career in agricultural marketing.
