Evolutionary consequences of human activities: Dr. Albrecht Schulte-Hostedde at TEDxLaurentianU

Dr. Albrecht discusses biodiversity and the conservation of biodiversity and how natural selection informs us of which strategies we need to use in order to conserve that biodiversity. He explores the evolutionary consequences of captive breeding programs. He believes we need to be mindful of evolutionary consequences of these captive breeding programs hosted in zoos. Moreover, he explains how we need to find creative solutions to mitigate these possible effects such as domestication.
