History by design: Elizabeth Resnick at TEDxAmoskeagMillyard

Through art and personal stories, designer Elizabeth Resnick takes the audience through her high school mindset and the nation's mindset when at war. Resnick delves into
how personal expression through art allowed her to navigate her life's ever changing landscape.

Resnick is a professor of communication design at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, where she is Chair of Communication Design. She earned her BFA and MFA degrees in graphic design from Rhode Island School of Design. She also operates a studio specializing in publication design and corporate communications. She is the author of "Design for Communication: Conceptual Graphic Design Basics" and "Graphic Design: A Problem-Solving Approach to Visual Communication."

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
