This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. "We have yet to change our relationship with knowledge," says Bill Brennan. In this talk, Brennan posits that knowledge is not just "in our heads," but between us as well, facilitated by Virtual Communities of Practice.

Dr. Bill Brennan first began thinking about intelligence after receiving his standardized test scores as a fourth grader; he has since not stopped considering how we conceive of intelligence. Dr. Brennan is a graduate of Fordham University's Doctoral program in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy. His recent research project is entitled, "National Study of School Principals and Virtual Learning: A Catalyst to Professional and Organizational Learning". Dr. Brennan is currently the lead innovator at Farmingdale Public Schools and Co-Founder of School Leadership 2.0—a Global Knowledge Network for School Leaders.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
