Thousands of families in northern Syria are facing further hardship after the earthquakes earlier this month. They hit the same area, where millions have been forced to live in makeshift shelters after being uprooted by nearly 12 years of war.

In Idlib, wedding venues and swimming clubs have transformed into places of temporary refuge for dozens of families. Some families initially moved in after they lost their homes in the February 6th earthquakes, but the number doubled as aftershocks continue to rock the region.
