Dr. Quintin Boyce started at Bioscience High School as a Biology, Chemistry, and Forensic Science instructor and also worked as an adjunct Biology instructor at South Mountain Community College. Last year, he completed his dissertation and earned his Doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision and moved from the classroom into School level Administration where he serves as Principal of Bioscience High School.
Stephanie Grijalva has been teaching art for 14 years and is one of the High School's original teachers. Along the way, she scooped up her Master's in English and became a National Board Certified Teacher in Visual Arts.
Dr. Braden Kay is a recent PhD graduate of ASU's School of Sustainabil- ity and was a National Science Founda- tion GK-12 Fellow at Bioscience High School, where he co-developed sustainability projects with students and faculty. Braden manages community engagement and sustainability strategy building for the City of Phoenix's Reinvent Phoenix grant.
Susan Wilson has taught Math, Physics, Engineering, and Special Education for 10 years, but Bioscience's trans- disciplinary approach to rigorous and relevant education is her dream job. This year she is one of 74 teachers in the IREX Global Exchange program, where she will search for global partnerships and projects to bring to the Bioscience campus.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
