Athambile Masola was born and bred in the Eastern Cape, and then moved west to Cape Town to start her teaching career at Claremont High School as an English teacher. She is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, with a history in languages, philosophy and a Masters in Education. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
