In this incisive talk, Julian dissects the possibilities we have for addressing climate change - from lower emission cars to an interesting conclusion: we might have to just use less energy.

Dr. Julian Allwood is a Reader in Engineering at Cambridge University and Director of Studies in Engineering at Gonville and Caius College. He leads the Fifth (5th) Assessment Report of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) chapter on mitigation options in Industry.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
