Engineering in a connected world: Tim Minchall at TEDxCambridgeUniversity

What does it mean to be an engineer, and how might we all draw on our inner-engineer to change the world we live in? In this talk, Tim talks about how new technologies enable ordinary people to collaboratively design solutions to the problems they face in daily life.

Dr. Tim Minchall is a Reader in Technology and Innovation Management at Cambridge University. Actively involved in new technology ventures, his early projects supported the setting up of the Cambridge Enterprise. As a previous TEDx speaker, he is actively involved in outreach activities to raise engineering awareness among younger schoolchildren.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
