From his Toronto upbringing, Shaun Boothe grew into himself as a poet from the playground, to his high school cafeteria rap battles. His big break came in 2005 after winning Much Music's Summer Temp Contest, hooking him up with a job, a car, cash, and most importantly, industry connections to find a wider audience. Since then, Shaun has grown into an MMVA nominated artist, earning the title as one of Canada's top rappers.
As Shaun's sound has matured, so has his focus. His latest project, 'The Biography Series' tells the life stories of influential cultural icons through biographical rap songs.  In his talk Shaun will discuss how repackaging history though hip hop, the youth culture of today, can be an innovative and powerful tool to engage, educate and inspire youth to achieve their own personal greatness.
