Performance in Three Words: Peter Starr, Virginia Byron, Joy Moy and Esther Lee at TEDxBGU

The creators and performers of this piece are transplants from different corners of the world who find themselves tackling the challenges of laying down roots in a strange, unfamiliar environment. Together, they wrote and choreographed this piece around aspects of transplantation, including maintaining relationships across long distances, adapting to life in the Middle East, and being uprooted from your home soil, whether by choice or force. They drew upon their own experiences as well as those of people they have encountered in their journeys.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
