Liat Krawczyk is the co-founder and director of the Jeneba Project, an organization that works to expand educational opportunities for youth in Sierra Leone. In this talk, given at TEDxBGU in Beer Sheva, Israel, Liat shares about the roots of compassion and activism in her family history as well as her passion for using storytelling to help heal the wounds of a society emerging from civil war.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
