Rethink teaching to remix learning: Jared Stein at TEDxEastsidePrep

Jared Stein has helped teachers design effective blended and online learning since the early days of the web, emphasizing real-world learning, openness, learner engagement, and usable design. Jared has also helped institutions plan for present and future challenges in education from both grassroots, faculty-driven initiatives and top-level leadership strategies. As VP of Research and Education for Canvas by Instructure, Jared works with higher education and K12 institutions around the country, gathers data, and shares back to the community in order to develop new insights that teachers can use and Canvas can innovate on.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
