Born in 1966, after getting his diploma at the Agricultural Technical Institute, he enrolled at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Parma and took part in the Collio project in 1998 as an agricultural popularizer specialized in viticulture. Later he enrolled at the Agrarian faculty: the vine plant was his main passion. He became a self-employed professional in 1998.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
