Small things, hugue impacts: Robert Rallo at TEDx Amposta

Nanomaterials are more and more present in consumer products and bring the promise of changing the way we live. Technology, health are some of the areas in which these new materials will produce revolutionary changes. However, the use of "engineered" nanoparticles requires the assessment of their environmental impact. We develop computer-based models to evaluate their potential effects and to reduce the number of animals required for testing. Nanotechnology is an example of small things that can produce hugue changes, we do not have to be afraid of change.


In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
