This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Chicago Q Ensemble provides a thrilling performance on ways in which classical musicians can empower themselves to reinvent classical music.

"Praised by Chicago Classical Review for their "expressive, superbly communicative performances," Chicago Q Ensemble is a string trio committed to innovative collaborations, community engagement, and the work of living composers. The ensemble has been been presented in concert throughout Chicago, including recitals at the (Un)familiar Music Series, Chicago Cultural Center, Green Mill, Chopin Theater, Northwestern University, DePaul University, Ganz Hall, and the Music Institute of Chicago. They have premiered works by Brian Baxter, Seth Boustead, Amos Gillespie, Eric Malmquist, Matthew Pakulski, Kyle Vegter, Amy Wurtz, and award-winning jazz arranger Joe Clark."

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
