In 14 years, Venice-born entrepreneur Massimo Sfrizo has built a collection of eight neighbourhood delis in Hong Kong offering a taste of "The Beautiful Country" -- and even pre-named his delis ilBelPaese, invoked by poets and artists when referring to Italy. As a 25-year resident Massimo cites Hong Kong's logistical, infrastructural and marketing advantages -- but also recognizes it as the premium gateway to the entire Asian region: "It is the best presentation you can show your potential customers in China".
