Luana Carretto studies Social Sciences with a Minor in Science at Amsterdam University College. In this talks she tells the story on how watching a documentary on society's wasteful food system, her love for food and her impulsive personality guided her into becoming a food activist. In the hope of reducing food waste one neighborhood at the time she set up a program to make people taste before they waste.


In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
