"The concept behind e-mocomu: E-MOtion, COlor and MUsic"
Would it be possible to settle the investigation over the diagnosis of emotional processes with technology? We think it would. With a technology that I called e-mocomu it would be possible to enhance creative expression with a therapeutic focus and do so through the use of music and color, which the participants can control with movements.
In our daily life, expression is a way to regulate and convey emotions, while significant studies have shown the role that music plays in balancing the functions of our brain. Colors, on the other side, can be used to augment expression, and the link that exist between color and music can offer a way to understand our emotional conditions in a therapeutic perspective. Then, if we think about movement as having an expressive component, we can use it to map internal processes. With these three elements together in a multidisciplinary device, we believe it is possible to provide psychological, physiological and social benefits and encourage participants to have a rewarding experience through art

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
