Little bite-sized treats for anyone who loves tiramisu. ????
They’re sweet with a touch of bitterness from the cocoa powder, and the texture is so soft as you bite into them so you just have to have another! ????
You'll need
300g savoiardi biscuits
180g labneh cheese or mascarpone cheese
100ml espresso
2 tbsp granulated sugar
For the filling:
Chocolate spread
For the coating:
Cocoa powder
Here's how
Take the savoiardi biscuits and pulse them in a food processor until they are crumbly.
Transfer the biscuits to a suitable mixing bowl.
Add sugar, espresso, and labneh cheese to the biscuits, mixing the ingredients thoroughly. You can also use granulated coffee instead of espresso if you prefer.
After roughly mixing with a spatula, knead the dough by hand until it reaches its final consistency.
Tear off walnut-sized pieces of dough and roll them into balls with slightly moist hands to facilitate shaping.
Optionally, you can prepare tiramisu balls with chocolate spread inside. For this, tear off a walnut-sized piece of dough, roll it with your hands, and place a spreadable chocolate inside.
Open the center, place spreadable chocolate inside, fold the edges together, and reshape it into a ball. To make this process easier, you can refrigerate the chocolate-spread for a while.
After shaping all the dough, coat the prepared balls with cocoa powder and serve. Enjoy!
