What does hunger look like to you?: Lani Holmberg at TEDxManly

Lani Holmberg is a visual storyteller. The socially-minded Holmberg won the Exposing Hunger: Capturing Solutions photography competition which took her to explore the poverty projects of Kenya and Zimbabwe. There, she met women farmers determined to overcome hunger and poverty in a tough environment. These people were sometimes very hungry, and that was hard, but that was just part of the story. Lani will challenge the stereotype of what it means to be hungry because meeting these women has done exactly that for her. The expression 'A picture is worth a thousand words' rings true in so many of her single shot images worth sharing.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
