Iván Vallejo is a mountaineer from Ecuador. On May 1, 2008, he finished his "Desafio 14" -- a personal quest for reaching the summit of all 14 mountains above 8,000 m, without the use of supplemental oxygen.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
