因十二年國教的開放性,使得所有學校都面臨如何定位其特色的問題。在這個問題背後,學校的老師須重新檢視學校的教育理念以及對學生的期望,並設計其特色課程及招生方案。黃春木在教育界服務超過20年,目前正參與規劃建國中學面對十二年國教的衝擊,在明年正式開始讓學生自主與自由選課,並模仿大學的修課方式給與畢業,帶領高中進行教育的新變革。
