Mu Yuan was born in 1961 in Taizhou, Jiangsu. Not only a famous artist in traditional Chinese paintings, he also has a deep understanding of Chinese art history. Mu Yuan is currently a professor in Suzhou University and takes up a lot of important roles in Chinese art community. He has published many books and papers. In 2011, he was invited by Suzhou TV to make a TV documentary series on art, which was also broadcasted on CCTV Education later.
