ABDli sanatçı Dennis Lee Mitchell’in Ankara Ziyareti / Artist Dennis Lee Mitchell Visits Ankara

Ankara’daki programına 16 Şubat 2016 tarihinde Çankaya Belediyesi Çağdaş Sanatlar Merkezi yetkilileri ile biraraya gelerek başlayan Mitchell, Prof. Dr. Turhan Çetin’in OSTİM’de bulunan atölyesinde düzenlenen bir çalıştaya katıldı. Endüstri Meslek Lisesi öğrenci ve öğretmenleri ile bir araya gelen sanatçı, katılımcılara duman ile resim yapma tekniği hakkında bilgiler verdi. Duman kullanılarak yapılan resim tekniğine öğrenciler büyük ilgi gösterdi. Mitchell aynı gün Hacettepe Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi’nde öğretim elemanları ve öğrencilerle biraraya gelerek sohbet etti.

17 Şubat 2016 tarihinde de güne Gazi Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi’ndeki sunuşla başlayan Mitchell, öğleden sonra CerModern’de sanat severlerle buluştu ve kullandığı teknikler hakkında bilgi verdi.

U.S. Artist Dennis Lee Mitchell Visits Ankara
On February 16, 2016, Mitchell started his program in Ankara by meeting with officials from the Modern Arts Center of Çankaya Municipality. The meeting was followed by his participation in a workshop held in Prof. Turhan Çetin’s studio located in OSTIM, one of the industrial zones in Ankara, where he discussed and showcased his smoke technique with students and teachers from an industrial vocational high school. In the workshop, students demonstrated great interest in Mitchell’s technique. On the same day, Mitchell met with students and faculty from the Fine Arts Faculty of Hacettepe University.
On the next day, Dennis Lee Mitchell gave a presentation at the Fine Arts Faculty of Gazi University, after which he visited the ‘CerModern’ Arts Center to give an artist talk to art lovers about his art and technique.
