Art Is The Memory Of Mankind: Greg Ibanez at TEDxUTA

In over 32 years of architectural practice, Greg has produced a diverse body of work that has been widely recognized and published. In an era of ever-increasing specialization within his profession, he practices as a generalist, creating an architecture characterized by formal restraint and an abiding reverence for the experience of the occupants. Greg was elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 2012 for his advancement of the profession through design. In 2006 he was awarded the Charles R. Adams Award for Design Excellence by the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in recognition of his career accomplishments. His other influences on the urban environment include serving as the current Chair of the Fort Worth Public Art Commission and formerly as a member of the Historic and Cultural Landmarks Commission. Greg has served as a Visiting Adjunct Professor of Architecture at The University of Texas at Arlington and at Texas Tech University. Greg is also a Contributing Editor for Texas Architect magazine and has been a guest speaker for the Dallas Architecture Forum and the Texas Society of Architects convention.
