Maxwell Wessel received an MBA from Harvard Business School and is currently a Fellow at the school's Forum for Growth and Innovation. Max regularly writes on innovation and entrepreneurship for the Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg Business Week, and Business Insider. He is also co-authoring a book on product design, innovation, and new product marketing with Clayton M. Christensen, author of The Innovator's Dilemma, and Scott D. Anthony, author of The Little Black Book of Innovation.

Max serves as an advisor to various venture backed start-ups in the consumer internet and clean-tech industries. Additionally, he previously founded a consumer internet company that automated the performance booking process for independent musicians and venue owners.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
