Chinese Yo-Yo Performance: Mallory Wang at TEDxCMU

Mallory Wang is a junior studying Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon. Raised in New Jersey, she has been practicing Chinese Yo-Yo since kindergarten at her local Chinese School and enjoys learning tricks off of YouTube videos. In addition to performing at various campus cultural events since her freshman year, Mallory also taught her own Chinese Yo-Yo StuCo course at CMU last year. Her Chinese Yo-Yo performances typically consist of a series of complex maneuvers blended with exciting music.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
