Marc Edwards is currently the Charles Lunsford Professor of Civil Engineering. In 2004, Time Magazine dubbed Dr. Edwards 'The Plumbing Professor' and listed him amongst the 4 most important 'Innovators' in water from around the world. In "Heroic by Nature, Cowardly by Convenience," Marc will discuss how we need to hold ourselves accountable for not only our actions, but our inactions.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
