Anna Koukkides-Procopiou is the President of the Women of Europe (Cyprus- Femmes d'Europe Award). She currently serves as the Alternate President of the Cyprus Women's Lobby and is a member of Business Professional Women-Cyprus. An activist involved in voluntary work with a number of NGOs, focusing on gender and literacy issues, she is currently a teacher by profession, having reinvented herself a few times, while first and foremost remaining the mother of Myrto.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
