This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. While some may see him in the twilight of his career, Bill is discovering a renewal. He's discovering new purpose in his role as architect and, more importantly, community member.

Bill has almost 30 years' experience as an architectural designer, project manager and development consultant.
After spending nearly a decade with IPSCO leading project administration and cost control for capital projects across North America (including the $400M Greenfield Mini-Mill in Iowa), Bill started his own consulting firm.
Since then, he's been involved in numerous projects, including the SaskPower Grid Control Centre, the London Life Regional Office Relocation (Royal Bank Tower), and the Carling Mall Façade renovations.
Bill has volunteered with various boards in the city, such as the Regina Jazz Society, the Grant Road School Parents Association, the Campbell Area Music Parents, the YQR Creative Arts Association, the Grey Cup 95 Committee and Regina Habitat for Humanity.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
