Made in the Heart of Stars: Haritina Mogosanu at TEDxChristchurch

New Zealand Mars Society President Haritina Mogosanu is definitely a dreamer. Her fascination with stars has gone back as far as she can remember. As Haritina grew up, her passion for stars grew too, and she learned that many of humankind's greatest stories were linked to the stars in one way or another.

Now, as a starryteller, she uses this passion for space and stars to support science education and space exploration through outreach projects like the KiwiSpace Foundation, Ancient Skies, and the Society of Maori Astronomy.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
