You don’t always have the right words, but you can still give them goosebumps. Name a Roach for your Valentine - or your ex-Valentine - because roaches are forever.
Each year, the Bronx Zoo's Name A Roach program offers the public an opportunity to symbolically name one of more than 50,000 giant cockroaches at the zoo and for $15, send loved ones (or not so loved ones) a certificate with the name their new roach friend. Additional packages include roach socks, a roach candle and the naming certificate, and for the first time this year, special events at the zoo.
The program, which is in its eleventh year, helps the zoo's parent organization, the Wildlife Conservation Society, further its mission to save wildlife in New York and around the world.
