Rocket: Erin Yarbrough at TEDxOlympicBlvdWomen

Erin Yarbrough is 18 years old and lives in West Los Angeles. She has been published in The California Poets in the Schools Anthology 2013, Sing to the Heart of the Forest, and The Beyond Baroque Association's Young Poets Anthologies. Erin plans to follow her passions to a career and is constantly writing new poetry and prose. You can find some of her unedited work at

Erin was invited to perform a poem she wrote when she was 15 years old that her mentor, India Radfar, named "Rocket". The poem captures how she felt isolated and distant from her peers, but looked toward the future with hope and optimism.
