Stage Fright: Carolyn Thompson at TEDxMILTON

Carolyn has been singing for over 25 years and decided 6 years ago to pursue her dream as a Full Time Singer.  Through her talent she has performed with her Jazz Soul R&B +Funk band on many stages. She is best known as the host and founder of the very popular Open Jam Night @ Harlem from April 2009 to December 2012 which led to the start of her Voice and Performance Coaching practice for private individual or group session.  As a coach Carolyn teaches people how to "Use their Voice as a Tool" and "Find their True Voice."  Whether the focus is singing or public speaking, she teaches her students how be themselves on stage.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
