We're failing at higher rates than ever before. In order to move forward faster, says entrepreneur Carolyn Rodz, we need to plan for and openly discuss our failures, removing the stigma of shame and blame. By doing so, we enlist the support of our networks and communities by establishing a common ground, and change the definition of the word "failure" from one of defeat to one of acceptance as a natural part of living a full life.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
