This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Streefood is more than a cheaper and faster way to feed yourself, It is a social phenomenon with ancient origins which has fascinating implications in nutrition, health, sustainability, the way we live the public space as a community, and jobs creation, This talk has been recorded at the first TEDx event held in the open air, by night, by and for the community, with zero budget, in the public square: the Campo de Cebada in Madrid. In order not to disturb the neighbors, the audience practices the "deaf applause", and this is the reason for all those moving hands!

Jose Miguel Garcia is a lawyer specialized in food related R+D who, at the beginning of 2014, with 5 other people, founded the StreetFood Madrid Association with the purpose to help the movement grow, involving all the social agents: citizen, operators, companies, associations and the local government.
